The Bank of Australasia, now the ANZ Bank, can be seen at the corner of the Square and Broad Street (now Broadway Avenue). The jewellers Gerrand is next to it, occupying part of the ground floor of the same building. J B Gerrand and Sons Ltd moved from this shop to new premises in Broadway Avenue in 1977. it closed down in 1981.
