The Regent Theatre in Broadway is the premier theatre in Palmerston North. it was built in 1930 as a movie theatre and acquired by the Palmerston North City Council in the 1990s when it was restored.

The Ladies Rest Rooms were built in The Square in 1936, on the site of the previous women's toilets opened in 1918. They are designed in the art deco style and are still in use today (2009)
