The Convention Centre officially opened in October 1980, and was rebranded as the Palmerston North Conference and Function Centre in 2017.

This tower once served the teaching college of Massey University. In 2016 the university sold the Hokowhitu campus, and at present the land is being redeveloped as a housing block meaning that this tower will be removed along with other offices...
