Said to be taken at the Hokowhitu Rifle Range. Positively identified are Martin Pedersen (4th from right); Albert Pederson (6th from right), sons of Neil and Bertha Pedersen, pioneer Scandinavian settlers of Palmerston North. It is believed the four officers sitting in front include Colour Sargent Perrin, Major Mounsey and Captain Harry Palmer (far left).
