Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 30 August 1960 "Sunday's brilliant spring sunshine brought the greater majority of Palmerston North residents out of doors, and there was no doubt that the Esplanade was possibly the most popular place. Many strollers, like those in this photograph, stopped to rest beside the attractive flower beds."
