Site of the First School - Car Wreckers Yard
- Description
The Old Stoney Creek School grounds on Napier Road, in about 1965, as Jack Rolf’s truck wrecking yard. The old school building is understood to have been just inside the main entrance shown in this photo. Many of the vehicles shown here, were still in the same positions when the yard changed hands around a quarter century later. At that time a number of ‘hidden treasures’ revealed themselves from the deepest recesses of the yard. See ‘A Time of Transition’ by Val Burr, page 68.
