This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 2nd December 1965 "This young thrush watched his parents ,any times and then thought he would try to fly, too. He got out of the nest all right but his knowledge of aerodynamics was incomplete., Luckily a pair of tender hands were ready to pick him up and gently place him back in his nest."
