Womens Advisory Committee, District Rehabilitation Committee,

349 College Street,
Palmerston North,
19th. September 1944.

duplicate

Mr. T.R.Lees,
Chairman, District Rehabilitation Committee,
Palmerston North.

Dear Sir,
re House in Te Awe Awe Street, donated by the Trustees of the
Birch Estate for the purpose of providing a convalescent home
for Hospital Nurses,

The members of my committee are of the opinion that such a

home as intended by the provisions of above estate, is urgently needed,

& that the need will further increase as nurses return from overseas.

We would therefore be grateful if you would please have this matter

brought before the appropriate authorities as soon as possible, so that

this Convalescent Home may be inaugurated without delay.

Yours faithfully,

signed C.E. Warburton

Chairman
Womens Advisory Committee,
P.N. Rehabilitation Committee.
