This is a photograph of Robert Carville Bett (8 June 1891-16 June 1917). A photograph of R. C. Bett with a brass plaque is held at St Andrews church in Palmerston North. It seems that he had played the church organ up until April 1905 when he resigned. At twenty-six years old Robert was a Lance Corporal of the Otago Regiment, N.Z.E.F. 1st Battalion, and his memorial is in the Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France.
