This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 28 January, 1964. "Yesterday was Mrs Blanche Curtin's wedding day--but it was a wedding with a difference. For Mrs Curtin--now Mrs H. Scotton--is 91 years of age. Mr Scotten, in his seventies, is an Englishman who came to new Zealand about two years ago. The newly-married couple will live in Wanganui, which has been Mrs Scotton's home for the part eight years. They pictures shows Mr and Mrs Scotton smiling happily as they sign the register, minutes after they were married." The image was cropped to just the couple for the story.
