"Eggs, Eggs and More Eggs"
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 April, 1959. "At the Farm Products, Ltd., is a room in which five women sort, grade and pack eggs. This photo shows Mesdames E. Bennett, (left) and L. Brayshaw unloading eggs from a crate and putting them on a moving belt which takes the eggs over a number of strong lights. These lights shine right through the egg and enable the two women to pick out any defects. Any marks are noticed and the defective eggs discarded."
