This photograph shows the first decades' pupils from College Street School (1890-1902). The school was built in two stages, firstly in 1930 when the southern end of the existing building was opened and finally in December 1925 when the remainder was completed - the delay being due to a cut in Government education spending. The old school building was demolished in 1937 and the land was quickly subdivided. The old school was situated across the road from the present school.
