Saint Joseph's Convent School was a Catholic girls' school located on Fitchett Street. The teachers were nuns from the order of Our Lady of Mercy. They lived in the Convent of Mercy across the road from the school, which was housed in the same building as the earlier Elizabeth von Blaramberg School. The lease on the school site ran out in the 1980s and St. Joseph's School and the boys' Marist School (further along Fitchett Street) were incorporated into the current co-educational Saint Peter's High School.
