The Hokowhitu Bowling Club is located next to Hokowhitu Park at 279 Albert Street. The pavilion was built by, and the green laid down by, the Palmerston North City Council. It was then leased to the Club on the understanding that all further improvements would be born by the Club. During one very dry season the Committee sank a well from which they could water the greens and flower beds. This well also served as a fountain.
