Description

This foot bridge was important for pedestrian traffic as the 'railway land' stretched from The Square to beyond Cook Street. The crowd gathered on the Cook Street Foot Bridge, may have been watching one of the last trains to travel on the line running through the centre of Palmerston North in 1964.
