Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 27th January 1966 "The fine lace-work of this 19th century "Sunday best" gown is beautifully preserved from the days when it graced the wardrobe of a pioneer's wife. It was the striking centre-piece of a fascinating display of bygones - arranged by the Marton Historical Society to mark the 50th Marton A. and P. Show."
