Description

This brochure looks at the work of many of the architects who created Palmerston North. It travels from colonial in style, to Mid-Century Modern. It also links some buildings in the central city with others designed by the same architects It was compiled for the Palmerston North City Library by Val Burr from a wide variety of published and unpublished sources, and edited by Cushla Scrivens.

Please note: this brochure was prepared in 2017, after Palmerston North endured two earthquakes. Though there is hope that earthquake strengthening will still take place, you may find that some of the buildings with a low earthquake rating have been demolished.
