This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 4th January 1966 "Every flying club depends on the continual flow of pupils for its progress. The Middle Districts Aero Club at Milson is no exception. Yesterday the first student pilot for 1966 received her early instruction from a flying instructor at the club, Mr. D. Bassett. This was somewhat unusual, however, for the student is Mrs. D. Bassett, wife of the instructor."
