Jyoteeka began with strict meditation at 6 a.m., learning mindfulness in daily life.As a yoga teacher, she keeps a steady morning practice before class.Her days mix teaching, rest, and evening sessions with balance.She leads yoga retreats in Fiji, Japan, Cambodia, and Bali.The retreats blend yoga, travel, and culture in small groups.She once ran yoga–cycling trips in Otago with her family.Most of her students are older; younger ones are too busy.She sees declining health from poor diet and weak posture.COVID forced her online, using cameras and hybrid classes.She now mentors new teachers and runs a calm studio in Palmerston North.
