This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 7th January 1966 "Some of the 170 boys camping with the Y.M.C.A. at the Totara Reserve, wade across the Pohangina River under the alert eyes of two councillors. River sports play a major part in the boys' outdoor activities."
