Dear Madam,
Thank you for your letter of the 17th. inst.
Your inquiry could not have come at a better time.
We have now [been] approached by the Army Medical Stores,
who are responsible for equipping the Medical Units,
and every piece of available Medical Equipment has been
taken by them to send to the Pacific Islands.

Our method of financing is to make a certain
amount of civilian goods such as Baby’s Pots, Baths and
Fancy Trays. These are sold in our shop and the money
is used to pay for the Medical Equipment for Sick and
Wounded which is all donated.

If you could send us your Papier Mache at the stage
when it is ready for painting, this would save a lot
of bother with painting. Of course the painting should
be done by experienced people. If you have people who
are good painters and will see that the work is well done
before the paint is applied, then there is no reason why
you should not do your own painting.

We will be glad to furnish the cost of materials if
your group are prepared to do the work. A good supply
of Papier Mache is needed more to-day than it has been at
any other time.
