Description: This is the first register of building permits for the Palmerston North Borough Council that exists. It contains permits that were issued for the dates: 2 May - 29 September 1904; 3 April - 20 December 1906; 2 April 1913 - 21 July 1921. (Entries are missing for the periods October 1904 - March 1906 and January 1907 - March 1913.) It lists the applicant (this may be the builder, the street name (not the number), the section and lot numbers, what is being built and whether it is new or an addition. Values of permits are shown only for those entries until April 1918. Values after this date can be found in PNCC 4/13/2 Volume 1 - please ask staff for this information if required.
