Recruits training as Stretcher Bearers
- Description
A row of recruits practice carrying stretchers under the supervision of an army officer. It was probably taken at the Awapuni Racecourse, which was home to one of New Zealand’s largest training camps in World War One, and was the sole location for training the New Zealand Medical Corps. staff.
