- Description
This image was taken for Photorama pictorial magazine and was published in the July 1960 edition.
Caption: “Photorama recently had a look behind the scenes at the Transportation department and now shows you some of the things a Traffic Officer does during an average day. An officer does not merely ride around in a car or motor cycle all day; there is also a great deal of paper work to be done.”
A “… two-way radio transmitter … makes it possible for a traffic officer to be on the scene of an accident so rapidly. It was a radio call which brought an officer to [this] breakdown.”
