William Floyd (1876-1931) was born in England and was a member of the Police Force of Scotland Yard before emigrating to New Zealand with his family c 1924. He was the inspector for the Palmerston North branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 1926-1931, and is pictured in his uniform, with his bike.
