This 100 year old home was one of Feilding's notable homes, known for its rose gardens. At the time of the fire it was owned by the estate of Mrs Jean Durham, who had run it as Rest Home until it was the mid 1970s. After her death in 1979 it was put on the market but did not sell. The fire virtually destroyed the house.
