Teacher's College Campus - First building

Description: This image was taken for Photorama pictorial magazine’s September 1960 edition but was not published.
It depicts a building which was later named the Mataamua building. It was the first building constructed for the Teacher's Training College, and was subsequentially earthquake strengthened with a metal frame extending round the exterior. The building was scheduled for demolition when the campus was sold to the Wallace Development Company in 2016.
