"Straight Down the Barrell" [Shooting]
- Description
This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 13 May, 1963. "With more than 100 contestents at the small-bore rifle tournament held at the R.S.A. range on Satuday, competition was keen. Making sure that all rifles were unloaded, the photographer had a view straight down the barrel. With their rifles trained on the camera, from the left are: P. Wakelin, of Southern Hawke's Bay; Mrs. P. Wray (Waikato); and T. Hammond (Bulls)."
