This postcard shows the Manawatu Tea Room, which opened in 1905, the Clarendon Hotel and the old cannon placed in the Square by the City Council in 1909. The view is from the middle of the square (perhaps from the second band rotunda), looking towards Rangitikei Street (on the right side) and Coleman Mall (on the left side).
