This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10th December 1965 "Last night, members of the Palmerston North Lions Club, assisted by the Palmerston North Fire Brigade, hoisted a giant chandelier into position in Coleman Place. The bell shaped chandelier will be illuminated tonight with some 300 bulbs."
