NATIONAL UTILIZATION OF WASTE DEPOT
PAPIER MACHIE AND ARMY CLOTHING REPAIRS

Dec 12th 1944
Dear Miss Warburton:
Many thanks for the
papier maché articles which
have arrived in good condition.
As perhaps you know we have
taken the Patriotic Shop in [Manners?]
Street for three weeks before Xmas
as well as [manning?] our own shop
in Courtenay Place, hoping to
raise £1000,0.0 for the [ICOT?] Wounded
fund. It takes a great deal of
stock to bring in this amount
so we were very pleased to have
your [stuff?]. I do hope your group
will be able to carry on in the
new year as the demand for
papier maché increases all the
time. We have many orders for
trays, bowls, babys [potties?], + babys
baths. The young mother does not
seem to be able to buy these articles
anywhere, there were enamel ones
in the [shops] but they have all gone.
So we are trying to help both the
mother + the Patriotic Funds by
making what we can but we could
do with any number of well made
articles. Mrs Paterson was in Palmerston
as short time ago + was much struck
by the dolls made at the school by
a class taught by a Miss Taylor she
thought, glad the demonstration bore fruit.
With best wishes for the Christmas
Season + and the coming year.
Yours sincerely
[-haz?] [Whaley?]
