This house was built in 1879 by Charles Bauckham. This photograph shows Mrs Bauckham at the gate. It later became the home of Walter (Wattie) Brewer (1889-1977), a sadler and shoe retailer. Brewer was also actively involved with many groups and committees in the town.
This image is derived from a copy negative made from a photograph that was loaned for copying. The original photographic print is not held by the Ian Matheson City Archives.
