The first International Agricutural Aviation Show was held at Milson Airport, Palmerston North, 9 - 10th November, 1956. Over 60 aircraft attended and a crowd of 2000 were entertained with a fly-pass of 64 planes. Geoffrey Tremaine (Mayor) is shown at the microphone. Sir Matthew Oram (MP for Palmerston North) is seated at his right and Mr T Shand, Minister in charge of Civil Aviation is seated fourth from left.
