Description

This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 24 May, 1963. "This photograph shows that winter is not far away. Taken at the municipal motor camp, the mantle of leaves covering the ground and those left on the trees above, all tinted with autumn hues, makes a picturesque display. However, despite their beauty, there will be much work in the area for City Council workmen in cleaning up the leaves."
