Photograph of unidentified food store shows shop counter, with goods stacked for viewing. It is thought to be 'Lamertons' of which there were two outletsone in Main Street "exactly two minutes walk from the Post Office" and one in Broadway. They stocked health foods and European specialties that didn't really catch on completely with the public until the 1970s. James William Lamerton, who ran the shop, died in 1998 and had an ash burial in Kelvin Grove.
