The reverse of the postcard is addressed to Miss Franchard, c/- Mrs Pigeon, Canning Street, Gore. It says "This scene is near to Palmerston N where we arrived this afternoon. Nice little place but very warm, leavng again at 5pm for Wanganui. Regards Burt."
