This photograph shows the Barraud and Abraham Ltd Rugby Team. The banner behind them reads, "Whyte and Mackay" with the tab line "Feeling in the best of spirits" alongside an image of a person dipping their hand into a bottle of something, presumably spirit. Newspaper advertisements of the time reveal this to be whisky company, of which Barraud and Abraham were the sole agents in the Manawatū area. Not all of the figures have been identified. Caption reads: B & A won 12 to 6. Back row (from left): Donald, Wells, [Unknown], [Unknown], Edwards, Cleland. Middle (from left): Lord, Harkness, Stalker, Fraser, [Unknown], [Unknown], Barraud. Front (from left): Tremaine.
