"The Flickering follow up their success with their self-penned Candles and Quicksand tracks on Radio Massey with a headlining slot on Saturday at the first of The Stomach's Dynamite Groove gigs. The Palmerston North trio, which draws on gothic influences in its all-original set, is made up of (from left): Craig Black (voice), Blair Wotton (guitar) and Rob Williams (assorted noises).
The Stomach gig, which will also feature Sausage Roll and K-Tel Dancers, is the first of three celebrating the October 19 release of the Dynamite Groove compilation tape, featuring 20 songs from 12 bands. Subsequent concerts will be held on September 28, October 12 and October 26, featuring the likes of Damask, Feast of Stevens and Lung.
Negotiations are under way for the possible release of Dynamite Groove on CD."
