W.T. Penny was the secretary of the A & P Association. Major C Dunk, JP, was born in Harton Priory, Kent, in 1849, moved to Australia in 1882 and then to New Zealand where he settled in College Street, Palmerston North. He was Chairman of the River Board, organised the Manawatu Rifles (1891). He was the Mayor of Palmerston North in 1903-1904.
