Description

A mobile Library service began in Palmerston North 22 May 1967, in a 20 foot caravan towed by a van. Its initial route covered Hokowhitu, Manawatu Street, West End, Highbury, Milson and Terrace End. The first Mobile Librarian was Laila Maynard.
