“Run to Publicise Youthline”

These images were taken for the August 20th 1978 edition of the Tribune weekly newspaper – the first of which was published with the caption: “Murray Gribbin used his feet to publicise the work done by Youthline the other day - he ran to Wellington. Murray set off on his sponsored run from the Palmerston North City Council and when he reached the steps of Parliament buildings had raised about $2000 for Youthline. August has been designated as Youthline's month. In addition to Murray's sponsored run, the telephone counselling service is holding a disco, an essay and poster competiton [sic], a car trial and training camp.”

These images form part of the Manawatū Evening Standard Negative Collection. Unfortunately, only negatives between April and December 1978 are held.
