This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 January 1961: "Men directly concerned with the radar systems at the R.N.Z.A.F. station at Ohakea, photographed in front of the Cossar mobile training unit which was towed to the airfield yesterday. From left: Mr. R. Vintiner (chief instructor for radar training), Flight Officer D.C. Boroughs, Mr. W. Faithfull (instructor), Squadron Leader W.S. Norman (air traffic control officer at Ohakea), Messrs. A. Walker (instructor), R. Currie (regional technician) and D. Joseph (recently returned from a radar course in Britain)."
