'Staff at farewell for Sub Inspector R Marsack, in 1917, on his transfer. To his right is Sgt Henry and to his left is Sgt E Trehey.' See Ray Carter, Beyond the Call of Duty: a History of the Palmerston North Police District, 1988 p 37. Marsack is presumably centre front with walking stick.
