Frederick Pirani (1858-1926) was proprietor of the 'Manawatu Evening Standard' and Member of Parliament for Palmerston North 1893-1902. He married Martha Berry c1879 and they had 4 children. They divorced in 1922 and Frederick remarried Iris Helen Doer (Vogt) and had another son.
