NATIONAL UTILIZATION OF WASTE DEPOT
PAPIER MACHIE AND ARMY CLOTHING REPAIRS

Dec [30th?] 1944
Dear Miss Warburton:
Please excuse me for
not answering your letter before but
we have been running our two shops
together for the past two [weeks?] + yesterday
I wrote out a cheque for the Provincial
Patriotic Fund for £500.0.0 for the Sick
- Wounded Fund + paid in £22.0.0
besides, so that was not too bad was
it?
Now about moulds, as I said in
my last letter [you?], which I hope you
received, that Miss Taylor, I think it
is, makes far better moulds than we do.
She has over 23 and puts the whole class
to work at once. She is at the
school which the delegates of the
Chamber of Commerce visited, have
you a high school or Technical
[School], any way Mrs Paterson says
that their heads are far better than
ours, so are the bodies, made from
leather scrap from the tannery near
by. As for our moulds, I have to
get in + make more before we open
again in Feb, [the -?] [+?] will have to take
casts of the heads before I can take
a mould as we have no heads at
the moment, so you see I am afraid
we are not much help, but it appears
you have a better teacher close at hand.
Do let me know how you get on as Mrs Paterson
was much impressed. With best wishes
Yours sincerely [---?] [Whatley?]
