This photograph was taken outside the Voss property on the Foxton Line. Effie Jane McEwen (1885-1965), daughter of Andrew McEwen, married Holgar Voss (1886-1959), son of Danish immigrants, Marx and Maren Voss, who settled in Karere in 1874.
This image is derived from a copy negative, made from a photograph loaned by Michael Fitzsimons of Karere in 1970. The original photograph is not held by the Ian Matheson City Archives.
