Eric Carol Procter (1928-2010) was involved with the taxi industry in Palmerston North from about 1949 until his retirement in 1988. Beginning as a driver, he was later the manager of Palmerston North Taxis Ltd. He was involved in organising the 1974 conference held in the city.
