A student from Palmerston North Intermediate Normal School speaking during the third nationwide strike on climate change. Organized by School Strike 4 Climate NZ, the protestors are demanding the New Zealand government and elected members take urgent and meaningful action for the climate and the collective future of the planet.

Specifically they want the Government to:

Government to declare a climate change emergency.

Pass the Zero Carbon Act into law.

Cease all exploration and extraction of fossil fuels.

Invest in a renewable and regenerative economy now.
