"Selected Rugby League players from Wellington, Taranaki and the Manawatu are undergoing three days of extensive training in Palmerston North under the eye of Mr C. Mountford, the New Zealand national coach. Mr Mountford, formerly from Greymouth, returned last year from England where he played, coached, and managed teams during the last 16 years."
