Description

Alex Woodley (1879-1956) and Helen Amelia Woodley, nee Holdaway (1878-1966), arrived in Aokautere in 1925. They leased 200 acres, milking cows and raising ducks, poultry and pigs. The couple had three sons and in 1948 the farm was purchased by their son Jack was granted half ownership.
This photograph was reproduced in the book Fitzherbert East Aokautere: School and District 1889-1989 (1989).
